Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD)

Bicycle Nova Scotia believes that fostering a love for cycling through competition is critical to ensuring athletes remain “competitive for life”. Youth involved in our programing adhere to the Cycling Canada Long Term Athlete Development Model (LTAD) as they progress through their competitive careers. These principles provide guidance and supportive information on training volume, skill development and multiple sport activities valuable to an athlete’s growth in their early years.
