Nova Scotia Tour Book

Nova Scotia Tourbook Cover
Nova Scotia By Bicycle is your tour-guide to one of the world's best and most diverse cycling destinations.

The Canadian province of Nova Scotia offers cyclists a veritable smorgasbord of natural beauty in all its guises: rugged rocky coastline with great cliffs going down to the sea, numerous lakes (swim!), wilderness parks and forests with abundant wildlifes, a fertile valley of picturesque farms nestled between two wooded hillsides, the Bay of Fundy with its incredible tides and natural air conditioning, and a large number of old towns and villages to explore. The secondary roads are well paved and have little traffic, since most of the truck and automobile traffic prefer the less scenic but faster 100 series highways.

Nova Scotia By Bicycle gives you detailed first-hand information on more than 4000 kilometres (2500 miles) of Nova Scotian roads. The book is organized as a series of interconnecting tours, each with its own large clear map, a narrative description of the route, and easy-to-follow cue sheets (sample). All the routes described in the book have been recently cycled. Each book comes with an annual update sheet listing changes since the last printing.

Nova Scotia By Bicycle also includes other interesting features, such as stories from Nova Scotian folklore, and a list of bicycle shops in Nova Scotia.

Nova Scotia By Bicycle is available by mail directly from Bicycle Nova Scotia. If you would like to order a copy, please use our order form. If you would like more information about this, or any other BNS project please e-mail us: staff@bicycle.ns.ca

Proceeds from the sale of this book will be used by Bicycle Nova Scotia for the promotion of bicycling safety and education, for special bicycling related innovations (handicapped cycling, etc.) and for the preparation of future editions of the book.
