If it weren't for the road bike, there wouldn't be any mountain bikes. And, if you want to get better on your mountain bike, you might want to hop on a road bike. If you're a hardcore roadie, you know what we're talking about here. Road riding is coming back bigger and stronger! Maybe the mountain bikers finally clued in that there's a certain kind of fitness that you can only get by road cycling. Or maybe they realized road cycling is pretty dam cool too (especially when you can't get into the woods until June because the entire world's alottment of snow was dumped on Nova Scotia this winter!). Check out a club or store to find out whose riding when and where. And, if you're dreaming of a yellow jersey, check out the 2004 Road Calendar. This year has the best variety of road racing that hasn't been seen in recent years. You have your pick of Time Trials, Criteriums, Road races, and even Stage races. But rather than picking and choosing which events to take part in, why not do them all! This is the year of the Road Bike in Nova Scotia.
