Bicycle Nova Scotia celebrates historic wins at CycleCross National Championships

Over the weekend, Bicycle Nova Scotia’s provincial team exceeded expectations at the National Cyclecross Championships held in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Cyclocross is considered one of the most difficult forms of cycle racing – where riders dismount and remount over obstacles, ride over varying terrain including grassy surfaces, mud and steep banks and is extremely popular in Europe, with growing popularity in North America. Nine athletes from the province, including five members of the provincial cycling team, which was reestablished in 2016 after a 13 year gap – attended the races held on November 5 and 6th.
